The Multimedia Group (MGL) was founded in 1995 by Kwasi Twum with a clear vision to create the most influential and credible media brand in Ghana. The commencement of operations begun with one radio station - Joy 99.7FM as the first private radio station licensed in Ghana.
The emergence of Joy FM radically changed the media landscape in Ghana and offered a platform for credible and honest news reporting; a strong independent voice of the people to be heard; citizen participation in public discussions and an empowerment of the people.
What began as a single radio station in 1995 is today the nation's largest radio, television and online network and sub Saharan Africa's biggest media entity. The Multimedia Group operates six local FM stations broadcasting mainly in two languages and from the two largest urban capitals in Ghana. Riding on the back of our six FM stations are over 40 affiliates and partner stations across the country.

The Multimedia Group's latest addition is Multi TV, the multi channel largest free to air (FTA) television network in Africa. The key channels on MultiTV are JoyNews, Joy Prime and Adom TV.
In addition to our radio, television and online platforms the Group also has the biggest events and promotions vehicle in Ghana, organizing special and targeted events that attract over 250,000 attendees annually.
